If you found out that your partner had a relationship with someone the opposite sex as you, is it a deal breaker? If you are a woman, and you found out that your partner once dated a man, is that too much to stay in the relationship? Or, if you are a man, and you found out that your partner have a previous relationship with a woman, is that hot or not?  Although our society has hang ups about sex, sexuality and who is sleeping with whom, is it realistic to think that it’s only black and white? Why not a gray area when it comes to sexuality?

Because of the differences in perceptions of homosexuality between men and women, you expect that a man would be cool with a woman who dabbled in a little girl-love in her past. On the other hand, a woman who has a man with a little man-love in his past would probably be less acceptable.  However, some people may find it attractive that their partner is so open-minded. Or does it depend on how far the experimenting went?

Or if you are gay, is it just expected that at some point in your partner’s life they tried to be conventional?

Certainly, it is a cause for discussion, but how high does it rank if 10 equals not a chance! And 1 equals who cares?

Join us on March 26th at 2 P.M. as we have a grown up discussion about sex and sexuality.

Your past is your past. If it bothers your partner to know your past it may not be the best relationship to be in. I am a VERY open-minded person and I feel that honestly is so important and judgment should be left outside the doors, especially the doors of the bedroom. It is supposed to be a safe place where you share you whole self.

I agree Erin, I can’t change the past, and it is kind of fair to hold that against someone. What is most important is who you are now.
